List of Major Projects completed by iGovTT
iGovTT deployed the first release of the Government Portal’s Single Sign-On system which allowed for seamless integration between the ttconnect ID authentication mechanism and Government ministries e-Services in July 2015. Cabinet mandated the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago (GoRTT) to utilize the ttconnect ID for accessing Government e-Services, iGovTT collaborated with the Inland Revenue Division (IRD) to provide authentication and profile synchronization services for IRD’s e-Tax System which allows citizens to file their taxes online.
Government Portal High Availability:
The Government portal high availability allows for a backup site to be available 24x7x365, thus maintaining availability of ttconnect Online Portal services. In September 2015, the high availability solution was deployed. New hardware and upgraded software were also deployed for greater reliability and delivery of Government e-Services. The primary portal is hosted at iGovTT’s Government Data Centre 1 while the secondary portal is hosted at the Government Data Centre 2, allowing for closer connectivity to GovNeTT.
GoRTT ICT Assessment:
The former Ministry of Science & Technology in execution of the smart.TT initiative to improve GoRTT’s ICT governance through iGovTT, embarked on conducting a comprehensive ICT needs assessment of the GoRTT environment. The objective of the exercise was for the findings to be used to inform all future projections for hardware and software requirements within GoRTT. In effect, this facilitated both the Ministry and iGovTT to effectively plan for the deployment of a privately owned GoRTT Cloud Infrastructure hosted at the Government Data Centre(s). Additionally, this GoRTT ICT Assessment Project sought to obtain an accurate count of software and hardware deployed within the GoRTT’s Public Sector IT environment and compare this to the total number of licenses reported on a monthly basis, thus obtaining an effective license position. The scope of this project covered the Ministries and Agencies utilising the Enterprise Agreements. The GoRTT ICT Assessment project commenced in January 2015 and was completed in April 2015.
Judiciary SharePoint Deployment:
Under the GoRTT Microsoft Enterprise Agreement, iGovTT approved services for the allocation of Microsoft Consulting Hours for the development and deployment of an Intranet for the Judiciary of Trinidad and Tobago. This project which commenced in December 2014, has provided a robust platform to modernize the internal operations, whilst reducing paper utilisation and removing redundancies from the creation of multiple paper documents. The intranet also incorporated considerations for improvement in the overall communication process within the Judiciary.
Ministry of Finance – Electronic Document Management System:
The Ministry of Finance engaged iGovTT in August 2014, to assist with strengthening its internal mechanisms to control, manage and dispatch documents on a daily basis. A business requirements study was completed to aid the Ministry’s goal of procuring an Electronic Document Management System. iGovTT also provided specialist Business Advisory, Technical Advisory and Project Management services to the Ministry.
PTSC Wi-Fi on Buses:
iGovTT engaged the services of a vendor for the installation, configuration and maintenance of Wi-Fi Hotspots for the travelling public on the Public Transportation Services Corporation (PTSC) Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Buses. These hotspots have been made available on thirteen mobile PTSC CNG buses.
CAC: Star.tt Community-based ICT Access Centres:
iGovTT was engaged by the Ministry of Science and Technology to provide procurement, contract and project management services in the establishment of Community-based ICT Access Centres. These centres, branded Star.tt Access Centres, are front-end delivery channels for providing e-Government services (including ttconnect services), free Internet access, ICT and community “needs based” training, e-Learning resources and conference facilities to the citizens and business communities in the underserved areas of Trinidad and Tobago. Star.tt Access Centres are a critical factor in supporting the successful e-Government strategy roll out, as it is through these centres that the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago will expand its reach for service delivery and bridge the digital divide. Star.tt Access Centres are located in Marac, Cumana, Penal and Guayaguayare.
Cipriani College of Labour and Cooperative Studies IT Assessment:
iGovTT was engaged by Cipriani College of Labour and Cooperative Studies to perform a detailed ICT assessment of its ICT infrastructure and to recommend necessary amendments to improve business efficiency and service delivery. After providing the Current State Assessment in April 2016, the team developed a roadmap of projects for the College and a Future State Report was submitted.
GoRTT Contact Centre
Status: Active - The Ministry of Public Administration and Communication in collaboration with iGovTT and the Government Human Resource Services Limited intend to establish a GoRTT Contact Centre. The objective of this project is to provide information and services to the general public via multiple channels (e-mail, calls, live chat etc.).
Legal Aid and Advisory Authority migration
Status: Completed - The Legal Aid and Advisory Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (LAAA), formerly under the Ministry of Justice, now under the Ministry of Legal Affairs engaged iGovTT to provide services to aid in the transition of their sites and services. The project assisted the LAAA in its transitioning from the Ministry of Justice to the Ministry of Legal Affairs.
MNS - Skype for Business
Status: Active - The Ministry of National Security requested the services of iGovTT to upgrade its internal telephone system to Skype for Business for Unified Communication. Microsoft will design and deploy a Skype for Business Server 2015 solution across four sites on the customer's production infrastructure.
MNS Electronic Monitoring Devices
Status: On hold - This project seeks to establish an Electronic Monitoring solution for the Ministry of National Security as part of a three year pilot to be initially rolled out at one judicial district and in future throughout Trinidad and Tobago. The intent is to deploy a pilot project using the environment for lessons learnt and to allow for fine-tuning to improve the solution for adoption throughout the judicial system in Trinidad and Tobago at a later date.
OPM - Stores Inventory Management System and an Asset Management System
Status: Active - The Office of Prime Minister (OPM) requested procurement and project management services to facilitate the implementation of a Stores Management system and Asset Management System.
Trinidad and Tobago Prison Service ICT Strategic Roadmap
Status: Active - The Trinidad and Tobago Prison Service requested the services of iGovTT for the development of an ICT Strategic Roadmap. The objective is for full computerisation and connectivity of the twelve stations/departments within the Prison Service.
